Heritage Open Day: Christ Church is a magnificent Victorian Gothic church, designed by Henry Woodyer and consecrated in 1862. Set on a hill to the South of Reading town centre, it commands a prominent position and its spire can be seen for many miles around. The interior of the church is striking in its sense of scale and is largely unchanged since it was completed.
