Heritage Open Day: The Royal Hippodrome Friends look forward to welcoming anyone who wishes to see inside the Victorian theatre built in 1883. It is the oldest in Eastbourne. We will be open from 10 am until 4 pm. Visitors are invited to join us for a cuppa and if they wish, join a backstage tour where they will be given the chance to stand on the stage where so many well known stars have appeared as well as going backstage to areas not usually open to the public.
