William Gilberd Days of Tudor Science - Fat Face, 'The Great Brickhouse'

Heritage Open Day: The building occupies part of Colchester's forgotten mansion, 'The Great Brickhouse', probably built by the Darcy family in the late 16th or early 17th century. The southern half of the building (number 3) corresponds to the north wing of the original house and the northern half forms part of an extension, also dating from the 17th century.
