St Peter's Church Tower, Goldhanger
Heritage Open Day: The church tower was added in the 1400s - probably as a watch tower, with a small bell and sundial. By the time of the Reformation there were 4 bells and a sanctus bell. 110 years later there were still 4 bells and 2 of these remain, made by a bell founder from Colchester. 2 more were added in 1781 and a further 2 in 1899.
