Heritage Open Day: A magnificent reredos by G. F. Bodley crowns the tall, elegant and spacious interior of this Grade II* Listed Church, designed by local architect Cecil Hardisty. The Bodley reredos stands some 34 feet high and 24 feet wide, filling most of the east wall behind the High Altar; it is an exquisite Gothic composition with sumptuously gilded and coloured carvings. The Church was built between 1896 and 1904, to replace a previous church on the site. It contains some beautiful ikons,
