Woodend Mining Museum
Heritage Open Day: Woodend Mining Museum, is dedicated to to Coal Mining which once played a big part in our industrial past. We are a not for profit organisation and have recently received lottery funding to help us improve our facilities. In the museum there are many artefacts donated by local miners and many more acquired privately by us and together they tell the story of this once major industry.
Come and see what Woodend Colliery looked like in the 1900s and compare that scene to today. S
