Heritage Open Day: Meet the local volunteers, who have been working over the last year to restore this historic riverside garden. Lune Bank Gardens are part of the Lord Ashton heritage, and were given to the people of the City in 1904. Folllowing Storm Desmond last December, the river bank was submerged for many weeks, making the work of volunteers to restore the gardens more interesting than usual, especially as many of our homes were also affected by the floods!
