Avenham and Miller Parks - Heritage Walks
Heritage Open Day: Avenham and Miller Parks lie side by side on the north bank of the River Ribble, immediately south of Preston City Centre, and rank among the finest examples of traditional Victorian parkland in the north west of England. The 60-90 minute tour includes the creation of the parks and their major features - Belvedere, Swiss Chalet, Boer War Memorial, Fountain, Derby Statue and Grottos. The tour begins from the modern Pavillion designed by award-winning architect Ian McChesney.
