St Wilfrid's Church

Heritage Open Day: St Wilfrid’s is a Grade II* listed Jesuit church, which opened in 1793. Father ‘Daddy’ Dunn, who made Preston the first gas-lit town outside London, was the driving force behind its construction. Originally a simple and discreet building, it was remodelled in the late 19th century both internally and externally.
