Heritage Wool Trail Walk
Heritage Open Day: For centuries Witney was famous all over the world for woollen cloth in general and good quality blankets in particular which the town began to specialise in the 17th century. Not surprisingly this long and illustrious history has left its marks.
This is a circular walk of around 1.5 miles tracing the history of the wool trade in the town and taking a look at some very special buildings including The Corn Exchange, Witney Mill, and The Blanket Hall.
