Parish Church of St John the Baptist, Yeovil - Tower Visits
Heritage Open Day: See the recently restored stonework of the tower (partly funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund). Admire the stained glass windows illustrating bible scenes and stories. Take a tour to the top of the tower (130 steps!) See the bells and hear about the Victorian clock soon to be restored. Watch bell ringing being done and try your hand on a simulated bell at ground floor level. There are 14 bells ranging from 300kg to 2000kg - the tenor bell of 2 tonnes is among the heaviest bells
