Heritage Open Day: The Museum will be free to all visitors throughout Heritage Open Weekend.
On Saturday 10th September from 12.00pm - 4.00pm, the Museum will be offering a chance to see our amazing fossil collection, which is not normally on display to the public.
The Ashcombe Collection is a large collection of fossils and bones of extinct animals (all found locally) - which was donated to the Museum by Lord Ashcombe in the late 1940s.
Only a small percentage is on display to the public nor
