BALTIC 39: Building and History Tour

Heritage Open Day: BALTIC 39 is situated in the 1903 built Ward’s Building on High Bridge in the centre of old Newcastle. The building was designed as a purpose built printers, home to Robert Ward’s printing works. The building occupies the former site of Henry Watson’s workshop which produced the rotary engine for local Victorian engineer, inventor and philanthropist Lord Armstrong.
