North East Land, Sea and Air Museum
Heritage Open Day: The museum has a number of transport collections based on the former RAF site.
Aircraft exhibits range from the tiny Flying Flea to the mighty Vulcan bomber, with display 607 county of Durham Squadron based there in the 1930’s There is also a number of displays reflecting aviation history across the North East of England.
The Military Vehicle Museum moved to the site and several military vehicles, field guns and missiles from the 1940’ and 50’s are now on display, including
