Heritage Open Day: Visit a fine (and beautifully restored) Church of England parish church built during the early years of the 2nd World War to a design by Harvey and Wicks, a Birmingham architectural firm also responsible for Dudley Town Hall and Saint Francis' Church on the Cadburys' Bourneville Estate South of Birmingham. The church has fine stone and wood carvings, most likely by a disciple of Eric Gill, and paintings and a magnificent hanging rood created by the Italian prisoner
