Ashridge Estate - Archaeology Walk - Berkhamsted Common
A chance to explore this history-rich area for a second time after the success of our walk to celebrate the Battle of Berkhamsted Common in March with our regional archaeologist Gary Marshall. The walk will concentrate on the story of the attempted enclosure of this common in 1866 by Lord Brownlow and the rise of the common people to stop him.
