Chekhov's Early and Middle Stories (WEA/Liverpool Uni joint course)

WEA Adult Education Course - Although Chekhov remains best-known, at least in Western Europe, for his famous late plays, he was also a writer of remarkable short stories throughout his literary career. We shall discuss a range of his early and middle stories in the Penguin Classics editions including such ground-breaking works as “The Steppe” and “Ward No. 6”.
