Day School: Art History - Rembrandt's Masterpieces

WEA Adult Education Course - Rembrandt is considered to be the greatest artist of Holland's Golden Age. From his works as prominent portraitist in Amsterdam to the more contemplative images of his maturity the course will explore the artist's original approach to subject matter and style. Works such as The Nigthwatch, the Blinding of Samson and the Jewish Bride will be explored in depth within the context of the time in which they were created.
