Talk - Late Victorian Newbury

The later 19th century was a time of considerable change for the town of Newbury, with a new hospital, additional railway lines, new roads, a new St. Bartholomew's School, and a new Town Hall. Cycling became popular and the first motor cars appeared. Many Newbury personalities made a mark which still echoes over a century later. A talk by local historian Dr David Peacock.
