Mary Want Art Exhibition and Sale
Mary Want lived in Hamstreet for nearly 40 years and painted the scenes of Romney Marsh and the landscapes of Kent. A highly talented artist, she was a friend to many and was respected and loved. Her husband, Peter, was a Methodist minister and the both played a central role in the community. Now in poor health, Mary has moved to be nearer to her daughter and the people of Hamstreet are lending their personal paintings for an exhibition as a tribute to her.
