John Lavrin: A Life in Art
A major exhibition of works by the distinguished artist and sculptor John Lavrin, spanning eight decades. Lavrin was a child prodigy who had his first exhibition at the age of nine. He went on to study painting at Chelsea and the Slade Schools of Art. He is now 85, still painting and tending his large garden in the hills above Pontrobert. As a younger man John divided his time between London and Dalmatia, having married the daughter of a prominent Croatian sculptor.
