The band was formed in 2014, combining the talents of 6 of the most exciting and accomplished musicians in South Wales and Wessex, performing in an authentic New Orleans Dance Hall-style. They were the hit at three Jazz Weekends at the Wessex Hotel in Street ('14, '15, & '16) and now play throughout the South and West. They are inspired by the music created in New Orleans by musicians who gained international recognition in the 1940s to 1960s jazz revival such as Bunk Johnson
