Severn Bridge Disaster
A talk at the National Waterways Museum, Gloucester on the 56th anniversary of this tragic accident off Sharpness.On the 25th October 1960 five men lost their lives when two tanker barges collided with the Severn Railway Bridge. This is the story told by Chris Witts, who incidentally was out in the river that night on another tanker barge.
Talk begins at 2:30pm and entry is free to visitors to the Museum that day. Refreshments will be available.
