The Year of Mercy was inaugurated in December 2015 with the opening of St Richard's door, in the Cathedral, as the door of mercy. During this special year parishes have come to the Cathedral in pilgrimage, going through the door of mercy, and taking part in prayers in the Cathedral's Lady Chapel. As the Year of Mercy draws to a close this special interfaith event will take place in the Cathedral.
