Aged only 23, trombonist Michael Buchanan is one of those rare musicians whose interpretative artistry and astounding technique are redefining the possibilities for his instrument. A student at Wells until 2012, he has since won a stream of major international prize and awards, was appointed principal trombone of Scottish Opera at the unheard-of age of just 20, and is now with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchest
