Charity Garden Open Day: Inveraray Castle Gardens

Rhododendrons and azaleas abound and flower from April to June. Very fine specimens of Cedrus deodars, Sequoiadendron wellingtonia, Cryptomeria japonica, Taxus baccata and others thrive in the damp climate. The 'Flag-Borders' on each side of the main drive with paths in the shape of Scotland's national flag, the St. Andrew's Cross, are outstanding in spring with Prunus 'Ukon' and P.subhirtella and are underplanted with rhododendrons, Eucryphias, shrubs and her
