Monmouth Festival 2017
Once upon a time, way back in 1983, Monmouth took part in the Wales Tourist Board’s ‘Festival of Castles’. A Rolls Royce Rally, Carnival, Medieval Battle, Son et Luminere and concerts were held to mark the occasion. In 1984, inspired by the success of the Festival of Castles’ events, Monmouth staged another Festival which included poetry, drama, dance and music.
