Jazz at Pinner Parish Church: Harry Allen Quartet, with Andrea Pozza
Harry is one of the key American mainstream voices on tenor-saxophone and we’ve nabbed him on a rare visit to the UK. Digby Fairweather described Harry as ‘the most gifted new-generation swing tenorist to emerge since Scott Hamilton’ and he’s right. Imagine a fusion of Hamilton and Stan Getz and you’ll be in the right territory. He’ll be joined by the fine Italian pianist Andrea Pozza, tour organiser Simon Woolf on bass and our old friend Steve Brown on drums. Pre-booked tickets £13, £15, £17.
Concert starts at 8pm. Doors open at 7:30pm. Tickets bought on the door cost £2 more than the pre-booked price. Students pay half price.
