Hidden Gardens of Bury St Edmunds

Discover more than 30 gardens behind the walls and houses in the centre of Bury St Edmunds. This annual event - now in its 31st year - is a treat for garden lovers. Visitors will be surprised to find gardens of all sizes, some growing fruit and vegetables, others with greenhouses, ponds, unusual trees, lovely lawns, sunny patios with pots - many of them an oasis of calm.

Several garden owners offer teas and refreshments and sell plants and other produce.

All proceeds to St Nicholas Hospice

11am-5pm. Admission by programme, available in advance from The Apex, Charter Square, Bury St Edmunds: 01284 758000; or on the day from the Angel Hill, Bury St Edmunds (near Angel Hotel).
