Wellow Maypole Celebrations

Traditional family friendly event centred around the crowning of the village May Queen, preceded by the children's procession from St. Swithin's Church, and followed by maypole dancing performed by children from the local area around Wellow's splendid 17m high permanent maypole. There is free entertainment all day including sheepdog displays, live music, Scottish country dancing, and Punch and Judy. Children's swingboat rides are also a great favourite at this unique eve

12 noon to 5pm.
Free car parking at Wellow Dam or Wellow House School.
Free admission - but we do encourage visitors to purchase a programme (price £2) to help fund next year's event!
