Pether String Trio
The Pether String Trio – one of the Royal Northern College of Music’s most highly recommended groups - play for us in February with an interesting programme of Beethoven and Mozart, separated with Gideon Klein’s only string trio.
Beethoven's early, tuneful Opus 9 No. 1 String Trio starts the concert and this is followed by Gideon Klein's trio, written in the most harrowing circumstances, but full of hope and joy. Mozart's Divertimento, K563 completes the concert.
