Bala Standard Distance Triathlon
The last big race of the season in the UK is the Bala Standard Distance in Triathlon, which in 2015 is a European Championship qualiying event and attracts hundreds of tri-athletes and spectators to the area year after year. Waves of contestants set out on the 1500m swim across Llyn Tegid with the Aran Fawddy silhouetted in the distance – a spectacle that must be seen to be believed.
