Words by the Water - A Festival of Words and Ideas 2016
The Words by the Water Festival at Theatre by the Lake in Keswick is the north-west of England's premier festival of words and ideas. Although the festival can’t summon Wordsworth and Coleridge to take part in their programme, there are many other literary folk coming to the Lake District in March 2016. James Naughtie might be walking on the banks of Derwentwater; Melvyn Bragg may be strolling the fells. Howard Jacobson may be seen walking up Skiddaw.

Tickets start at £8 for studio theatre events and £10 for the main house. Events start at 11am and run to 8pm though please check the programme or speak to the box office for specific event times.
