Gardens Open for Charity: The Steading at Clunie

Newmill policies (definition – the pleasure grounds that surround a Scottish house) extend 700 metres along the north bank of the Lunan Burn midway between Lochs Clunie and Marlee. Newmill is at its best in spring and early summer and its main attractions centre around water. They include both garden and ‘wild‘ ponds, the Lunan Burn with a mill lade once converted to trap eels, and a small ‘cottage’ garden. There is a wooded walk along the lade and Burn, with bridges and some narrow paths, with
