Crafted: Rush Chair Seating (weekend course)
The Art of Weaving
Learn traditional chair seating techniques including handling materials, weaving and the finishing process. You may bring a small chair or stool, stripped, prepared and ready to work on. You'll use natural rush, and learn the techniques of soaking and preparing, as well as how to twist and tie rushes together. Dependent on size of project and your working speed, if you have not quite completed your seat, this will be demonstrated so you are confident to finish at home
