The Felling Heritage Group are joining Beamish Open Air Museum for this event which marks the development of the Miners Safety Lamp after The Felling Pit Disaster. We will have an exhibition in the Lamp Cabin at the Pit Village showing the mines of the time in our area, the villages, the various miners' lamps and of course the story of Felling's Rev Hodgson who did so much for the town. Indeed the Rev may well join us to tell his tale.
