Britain's What's On Event Guide
The Melodious Alaw Estuary - a guided wildlife walk by Naturebites.
We will visit the estuary to coincide with the incoming tide when wildfowl and waders will be flooding in. We should encounter pale-bellied brent geese, wigeon, shelduck with goldeneye and red-breasted merganser also possible. Amongst the regular oystercatcher, curlew and redshank we will search for bar-tailed godwits and grey plovers. Three short-eared owls were reported hunting here in January.
