Music and the Natural World
Insects, fish, all kinds of mammals and a skylark join Graham Ross and the Sinfonia for a concert exploring the natural world.
A special performance for children, with narration, of Saint-Saëns’s “Carnival of the Animals” takes place at 3.45 pm.
In the 7.45 pm evening performance, Roussel’s “The Spider’s Banquet” opens the programme, before the outstanding young Cambridge violinist Harry Castle plays Vaughan Williams’s much-loved “The Lark Ascending”.
