For 70 years the Royal Observer Corps (ROC) undertook unique roles in the defence of this country. First, acting as the 'Eyes and Ears' of the RAF and then, in a nuclear role during the Cold War. Find out what over 200,000 men and women, who were mainly volunteers, did for you and see working examples of the equipment they used. John served in the RAF in the UK, Singapore and Berlin and part time with ROC for 13 years.
