To Serve is to Resist (Story of Jane Haining)

Part of the Southside Fringe Festival.

Jane Haining was a Scottish Missionary born in Dunscore. She moved to Glasgow and stayed in Pollokshields. She was appointed as Matron to the Girls Home in Budapest. When World War Two broke out she was ordered home for her own safety. She refused to leave her girls and was arrested and died in Auschwitz in 1944 accused of helping the Jews.She is one of 10 Scots who died in Auschwitz.
