Free public lecture. The health gap: the challenge of an unequal world

Research reveals dramatic differences in health between people of different countries and between citizens of the same country, even in the world’s wealthiest nations. What’s more these health inequalities defy all the usual explanations.

Conventional approaches have focussed on providing better access to technical medical solutions and tackling behaviours that cause ill health. Yet these remedies have proven to go only so far in resolving the issue.
