Hands on History
Hand on History is a fantastic family heritage event at Stanwick Lakes on Sunday 5th June organised by the Trading Places Nene Valley heritage project.
Visit the forge and watch the blacksmith heating and bending steel, meet a green woodworker, a dry stone waller and woodcarvers or see a traditional shoe maker at work. Take the chance to chat with the friendly crafts people and find out the differences between Victorian times and the present day.
For children there will be a trail to follow
10am -4pm
FREE entry to this event, but Stanwick Lakes car parking charges apply: Up to 2 hours, £3.50 per car, up to 3 hours £4.50 and over 3 hours £5.50.
