For your next family day out, come along and discover Hampton Kempton Waterworks Railway. It’s one of the only operational steam narrow-gauge railway of its kind within the M25 and it has a fascinating heritage.
Train lovers of all ages will enjoy a ride on this historic railway, featuring ‘Darent’, the railway’s 1903 locomotive. There’s free parking, a lovely picnic, and a play area where the kids can run around freely and pretend to be train drivers on the ‘Kempton Flyer’ play train.
Open every Sunday 10.30 to 4 pm. with trains running every half hour (last train 3.30 pm). Advance online bookings only. Compartment Ticket £8 for 6 persons including children up to 16. Any number of compartments can be booked.
