Herstmonceux Caste

Unique visitor attraction with over 600 acres of woodland, wildower meadows, and gardens. Also serving as a college and international study centre.

Herstmonceux Castle is rich in history dating back to the 15th Century, commissioned by Sir Roger Fiennes, Treasurer to the Household of Henry VI. The moated castle was purchased and then gifted to Queen’s University, Canada by industrialist and philanthropist Alfred Bader and his wife Isabel.

With eight curated and themed gardens, including there is an abundance of life to delight the senses.

PLEASE NOTE: Tickets can be purchased online, or on-site by cash or card payment. There is currently no public access to the castle interior except via a guided tour.
