EAST members have spent the previous year researching and developing their individual lines of enquiry and as expected of EAST exhibitions, areas of research are diverse.
A paradigm shift is a fundamental change in the underlying assumptions, methods, or worldview within a field, leading to a new framework for understanding or action. The viewer is asked to consider how each artist has incorporated this?
For each artist it may not be one distinctive or single answer but a cumulative journey that starts with a small idea and eventually encompasses many interwoven networks.
When viewing this exciting new exhibition, PARADIGM SHIFT, EAST artists intend that the wider audience that views the final work are challenged, intrigued and inspired .
