Scottish Storytelling Centre

Who can resist the lure of a good yarn? Humans are hardwired to love stories and Scotland’s greatest stories have their own home at the Storytelling Centre, which is dedicated to preserving and recounting storytelling for future generations.

Winner of 2018’s Scottish Culture Awards for Best Performing Arts Venue, the Centre is a fantastic central venue on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, with a seasonal programme of live storytelling, theatre, dance and music to thrill visitors young and old alike, while an ever-changing roster of workshops and exhibitions beg repeat visits throughout the year.

The Centre extends a warm welcome to all who venture inside the vibrant space where you can also relax with friends in the Storytelling Café or Step Inside History at John Knox House.
