British Stone Skimming Championships and Stone Games
An afternoon for all the family. The stone skimming will be judged on distance rather than number of bounces but the stone must bounce at least 3 times. There are 4 age groups for male and female: Over 65, Under 65, Under 16 and Under 12. There will be 7 or 8 other games involving stones, eg Stone the Crows, Balancing Stones, Tabletop Curling, Stepping Stones, all with various age groups. Between 12 noon and 5pm. No need to register in advance, just turn up. Prize giving will be at 4.45pm. Prizes for all competitions will be simple hand painted stones or small certificates.
