Clayhanger String Quartet at Martock Church
This quartet of Devon-based professional musicians give numerous concerts to help raise money for good causes, have kindly agreed return to help The Guardians raise funds for the refurbishment of All Saints Church, now licenced for audiences of 400. The performers are Sarah Greinig & Simon Routh, violins; Suzie Fawden, viola and Charlotte Alexander, cello. The Guardians welcome the return of these talented musicians for the 119th concert we have staged since 2002. The concert series has been attended by over 17,000 people and has raised approximately £68,000 for enhancement of the structure of this most beautiful Church, the second largest parish church in Somerset. They will play Haydn's Qt in G Major op 76 #1; Borodin's Qt #2 in D major & Dvorak's Qt in F major op 96 "The American" The 3rd movement of the Borodin was used in the Stage Musical Kismet as the theme tune.
The concert will start at 7.30pm and end by 9.40pm. Tickets are £9 on the door or £8 booked in advance from 01935 822706 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Accompanied children under 16 admitted free. Ample nearby parking, disabled access & toilet. Wine and fruit juice will be available before the concert and in the interval.
