First World War presentation.

Derek Clayton will be giving a presentation on "The battle of the Sambre 1918" which will be examining this battle right at the end of the war in November 1918 in France. It involved most of the allies with at least 48 divisions and over 35 tanks. The battle is probably also known for the death of the poet Wilfred Owen who was killed fighting in it.
Doors will open at 7:00pm, with the presentation starting at 7:30pm. The talk is free although a small donation is encouraged to pay for the running of the branch. There is car parking at the Club which can be accessed via St Anne’s Lane off the Causeway in Godmanchester. Non-WFA members most welcome.
