History: The English Country House and its Garden

WEA Adult Education Course - English country houses fascinate us. In this course we will consider the architecture, social life, and use of the English Country house from 1780 onwards. We will look outside the house and take in the gardens as well, to give us a picture of the life of the upper classes in this period.
